Bedford Center
The Bedford Center is a branch of Oakland City University located in Bedford, Indiana, which is approximately 70 miles south of Indianapolis. It was established in 1977 to meet the needs of the local community. Since its beginnings, the campus has grown in size, facilities, and programs. Enrollment is sufficient enough to offer both associate and bachelor's degrees. The Center is now located in a large, historic limestone structure located at 405 "I" Street. The University is continually adding to the facility. It has a computer laboratory, library, and learning resource center and classrooms. Cooperative graduate and undergraduate classes have been established with Purdue University and Ball State University.

Oakland City University is committed to the missions of its Bedford Branch which is to provide curriculum that meets the particular needs of the Bedford area and, to promote an academic program of integrity within the context of Christian values. It offers traditional degrees as was as Accelerated Adult Degrees.

Campus Announcement

  • Traditional Program Announcements:
  • Summer office hours for the traditional program are 8:00-4:00.
  • Admissions Representative, Stephanie Armstrong is available after 4 pm by appointment (812) 279-8126 Ext. 29.
  • Placement testing for the Fall 2008 semester is June 10th, July 8th & August 5th.  Testing begins at 9 am or 5 pm.  Call the Admissions Office to schedule a testing date.
  • Registration for new students, Fall 2008 semester, is August 7th and 11th,              9 am – 4 pm by appointment.  ALL applicants MUST have transcripts prior to registration.
  • Fall 2008 classes begin on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. 
  • Orientation for Fall 2008 semester is August 19th at 6:30 pm.
  • SAEL Program Announcements:
  • SAEL Fall 2008 Class Schedules are now available and posted on the Class Schedules page.
  • SAEL Academic Program Coordinator is Pat Sharp (812) 279-8126 Ext. 15.
  • Evening access to the Bedford site after 4:00 pm is through the main (front) entrance until 6:30 pm.  For access after 6:30 pm, please make an appointment
