Developing a closer relationship with Christ
Students of all faiths are welcome at Oakland City University. While the university maintains a strong relationship with the General Association of General Baptists, OCU wants all students to realize their educational dreams. OCU offers Christian learning environment as well and Bible courses in all majors offered and General Baptist heritage course for General Baptist students.
In addition to weekly chapel Oakland City University also offers a variety of ways to be actively involved in developing a closer relationship with Christ. Our campus offers the following:
Weekly chapel services on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the cafeteria lead by Campus minister and or a variety of guest speakers and a student led praise and worship band.
A Campus minister on staff that will meet with any student, faculty and or staff for prayer, and or Biblical counseling.
Throughout the semester campus hosts praise and worship nights and hosts praise and worship concerts.
OCU offers student led Sunday Bible study and prayer groups this group is called “The Well”
Student Christian Association (SCA) This is a student led club where student get together study various passages of scripture. There goal as a club is not only grow closer to Christ but also grow closer as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Upward Bound
Oakland City University Upward Bound is excited to bring this program, in which all services and opportunities are available at no cost to our students, to eligible and selected High School students in Crawford County, Gibson County, Martin County, Orange County, Perry County, and Pike County, in Southern Indiana.
